At Tende beck we promote ability, focusing on building friendships, self-esteem and independence.  Our programs are tailored to individual ability and give group members the opportunity to try new things and “have a go!”

Tende beck Scout Group (formerly 6th Camberwell Nth) was founded in 1932 at Yooralla Carlton. We believe that the Scout Law and Promise are worthy principals for young people to explore. We are interested in helping individuals investigate what they can do, not what they can’t. We acknowledge achievement and effort while respecting individual ability.

Our Group meets once a fortnight during the school term; Group members also have the opportunity to attend various excursions, events and camps throughout the year. Programs are designed to cater for a range of ages and abilities.

We are a non-for profit group run by volunteers. All our leaders and helpers meet the requirements of Scouts Australia and have obtained current police checks and carry Working With Children Cards.

We acknowledge and thank the Wurindjeri people for providing us our name “Tende beck” which means “perfect” or “the best”
